COVID GRAS is Coming
It’s been one year since New Orleans and most of the world canceled Mardi Gras for the first time in a very long time. While we are not out of the pandemic as year 2 rolls around, the City has decided the party will go on in 2022, but on a scaled back format.

nd always fun to watch leave the station. There are a few more 12 night parades these days, but we have not had a chance to check them out.
Weekend 1 Saturday Feb 12 6:30
Krew de Vew has already cut the parade short, and one of their key patrons is skipping the parade.
krewedelusion follows and they are starting on Royal St. this year in the Quarter.
Weekend 2 Friday Feb 18 – Sunday Feb 20
The second weekend is always a good time to bring in the youngsters and family if they want some Mardi Gras without the huge drunken crowds.
- Full set of Parades in Uptown on Friday evening starting at 6:00
- Full set of Parades in Uptown on Saturday starting at 1:00 pm
- Full set of Parades in Uptown on Sunday starting at 11:00 am

Mardi Gras Week
In the Big Easy, the final week of Mardi Gras lasts and entire week, with 2 full size parades in uptown on Wednesday night. Druids rolls at 6:15 with Nyx to follow.
- Thursday Babylon, Chaos and Muses roll out of Uptown at 5:30
- Friday Hermes, D’eta and Morpheus roll out of Uptown at 5:30
- Saturday – Uptown parades in the morning, before it’s time to leave home base and head to a Super Krew house party somewhere in Mid-City.
- Sunday 4 Parades in Uptown, Oceans and Mid City at 11:00 am. Toth at noon, Bacchus at 5:15.

Mardi Gras Day
YUP, the party starts at 8:00 am with Zulu. Yes we have a coconut and it took many years to land one. Most years we don’t make it to Zulu after a big night of smack talk’in about how this is the year we’re gonna get it on by 7:30 am.
Rex rolls at 10:00 followed by Elks and Crescent City.
Then, for those of you that haven’t been to the old Big Easy Mardi Gras, the Trucks start to roll, and roll, and roll………. Best to head to the Quarter to close the deal.
